Thanksgiving is a memorable time when we gather with loved ones to celebrate and give thanks for life's abundance, be it close friends and family, opportunities, good health, or even a healthy harvest. It's also the start of the winter holiday season, a period demonstrative of kindness, sharing, and goodwill to our fellow man. It's a meaningful time to give back by volunteering at a local soup kitchen, helping a food pantry or food bank, or donating to help those in great need. We have so much to be thankful for, and while giving back to the community is always important, this is especially true at Thanksgiving. While many people look forward to the holiday for feasting on turkey, stuffing, and treats or gathering with loved ones to watch parades and football games, it's a very different story for others. Unfortunately, many good people and families cannot afford to participate in the festival trappings of the holiday, and many will go without these things we enjoy so much. The suffering of the disadvantaged is an issue that has always been very close to my heart. And annually, the Camily and I have been so blessed to be able to organize a massive donation of food and funds to bring the magic and joy of the holiday season to where it is most needed. This year we will be partnering with World Vision, a humanitarian organization that pledges to match our donation by 14 times, and the Three Square food bank, which provides meals and food packages to over 160 distribution centers for the impoverished. So please help us reach our donation goal and make a positive difference in many lives and communities. The lions and I will make a fun video of the donation process, and all contributors to this fund will receive a special shoutout in gratitude for their gift. If we come together, I know that we can accomplish amazing things!
