Sigh.. idk how to begin writing a description for something like this — because it’s hard for me not just asking for, but actually accepting, help with something so personal. But this goal is to help me pay for medical tests / diagnostics / medications I need that my insurance can’t cover. Back-Story ~ Honestly, this situation I’ve found myself in has been difficult for me to speak about, because of how frustrating, strenuous and confusing it has been. Even more difficult is my inability to express what this has done to my mental state, in the harsh reality of keeping me from spending time with all my friends in our chatroom.. which is the main source of joy and purpose in my life. I’ve spoken about it a bit on twitter, a little more on cam, and the most on my Discord where I feel safest. But as many close friends know, my health had a rapid decline starting in April 2021. It was very sudden and out of the blue, and has caused me many physical difficulties managing my everyday life let alone attempting to maintain a camming one. Chronic severe fatigue, vertigo and dizziness, brain fog and energy issues .. are the most severe issues I’ve been dealing with this year. But are also only the start to the laundry list of obstacles that have ramped up in my physical health. It’s been a difficult and sometimes demoralizing journey to try and figure out the cause to my symptoms, and which diagnosis’ I fit correctly into. I don’t have an actual diagnosis yet, but my doctors are starting to believe I’ve been living with an autoimmune disease/disorder (or several). It’s been a process of elimination that takes time and money.. and has caused a lot of stress with my limited ability to work in this physical and mental state; now approaching 6+months without the ability to maintain a consistent schedule. As uncomfortable as it makes me to accept help from my friends during a time when I’m still struggling with answers, I can’t deny that any and all support would really help me a great deal. This 13,000 token goal is to help cover a non-insurance initial Neurologist visit I want to have — To address some scary full-body episodes of near-unconsciousness I’ve been having, and rule in or out anything in my brain 🧠 I also need to see an Endocrinologist, which I will also add to this goal once I find out if my insurance can cover the bill, or how much it will be otherwise. Please only contribute if you have the means and desire to!!! Especially because in my condition I can’t give anything in return but my sincere gratitude ♡ Moral support is really great for me too during these times! A lot of you have seriously mentally gotten me through this on-going period of my life, encouraging me not to give up. I can’t express correctly how beautiful and impactful that has been for me. Thank you for always being there 🦊 *just wanted to add a quick note here that this subject can be hard for me to discuss sometimes. Depending on the day, I can be more functional and able to push my body to get on cam, but I can also easily go through periods where I feel depressed, hopeless and debilitated by these conditions. Any important updates I feel comfortable sharing I’ll post here. Smaller updates/leads/feelings/ too private etc. will remain just on Discord. Too much changes over time in search for health solutions. It’s pretty exhausting going through the different things I’ve considered and tested for —— so please leave out all medical suggestions, in any moral support you send my way ♡ I know they come from a good place, but it’s too mentally laborious on me. I’m taking calculated steps with my trusted doctors, so I just need well wishes and internet hugs.
